Today was crappy for me, I am not gonna lie. I got up ready to conquer the day, but my car did not. I was traveling to an appointment on campus and decided to take the shortcut because I was not going to be late if I took the other way. So I was heading in the direction of the appointment and I started to hear something coming from my car. Let’s just say, it was not a pretty sound, but it was a pretty loud sound.
I was able to pull over into the lot to see what the issue was and of course, it was my tire. I decided to do what I normally do in situations like this and freak the freak out. I called my parents in a bit of a panic and in the moment I did not think that I was freaking out as much as I was. But I contacted Triple-A and they were able to come and put the spare on (thank gosh I had my spare in the back).
I also had a friend that came before the company did and he was able to get the process started before Triple-A came, which I guess was the silver lining. After this happened, I was able to reflect on what my day consisted of and it reminded me of the book, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day that I read as a kid. I knew after it all went down that my day could have been a lot worse and that I should be grateful for the help that I was able to receive.
