With the trade deadline passing and the post-season coming in hot, we can look at some of the good, the bad, and the ugly. A lot of big-name players were on the move so we will focus on the most notable trades. 

To start it off, the trade for Blake Griffin from the Pistons to the Nets. Blake Griffin is currently having a down-year in comparison to his earlier days. However, Blake has shown a whole different side of himself with the Nets, he is playing more like the old Blake when he was a Clipper. With teammates Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, DeAndre Jordan, and also recently acquired LaMarcus Aldridge, this team is in full championship form. This is the perfect place for Blake to become acquainted with a team full of ball-handlers to give him a lob from time-to-time.

Victor Oladipo landed himself in Miami to play alongside Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, and Bam Adebayo. This roster is a potential championship-contending team. Jimmy now has another person that can handle the ball and give at least 17 a night for them. This was a huge win for the Heat to give them an extra push to facing superteams such as the Nets and the Lakers who recently added Andre Drummond to their roster. The Heat is currently 8th in the east with there being plenty more time in the season their standing is subject to change.

Nikola Vucevic is now a Bull after spending over 8 seasons with the Magic. The Magic received Wendell Carter Jr. and Otto Porter Jr. Even though they did receive Otto who is a sharpshooter the Magic lost this trade. Vucevic is currently in his 2nd Allstar year playing the best basketball he has ever played. He is currently averaging 24.4 pts per game with 11.6 rebounds per game. The Magic also traded away Aaron Gordon to the Nuggets alongside Gary Clark. Why is the Magic trading their key players? For future trading purposes? To build a younger core team? There is so much to see from this program.

These were the most notable trades in the past week. Some teams became even stronger and some became weaker. Basketball trading is like a game of chess, some are playing the short game and others are playing the long game. No matter what these teams are out, for one thing, a championship!
