UWG vs. SpringHill

After falling to the #4 ranked West Florida Argonauts, the West Georgia Wolves came back with a vengeance. The Wolves took some offensive frustration out on Spring Hill, crushing the Badgers 7-0 in a match that was decided at kickoff.

The Wolves started the game with 9 shots on goal, before Jasmine Santiago finally finding the back of the net with 20 minutes remaining in the first half. The Wolves would step on the gas and take a 3-0 lead into the half.

West Georgia would come out at full speed as they took pinged a shot off the crossbar 5 seconds into the second half. They would find the back of the net 4 more times, including a brace for sub, Alex Chapman.

The Wolves almost had 8 goals. At the 20 minute mark of the second half, a cross came in from Julia Atenza. Nikki Conte with place it near post beating the keeper, but Kylee Harrell pinned the ball against the inside of the post across the goal line even pushing the post 3 inches off its line. Unfortunately for the Wolves, the line judge nor the head referee had an angle on the goal.

Goals were scored by Jasmine Santiago (14:14), Hillary Resendiz (30:45), Alexis Lewis (34:46), Hillary Resendiz [Brace] (53::48), Julia Atenza (56:07), Alex Chapman (72:31), Alex Chapman [Brace] (79:20)

 UWG will take a 3-3-2 record into a match vs West Alabama on Friday, September 28.
