Homecoming Week Recap

Meet the Winners
After nominations and voting, the winners for 2025 are in:

  • King: Jalen Adams
  • Queen: Sydney Penn
    And for our class-specific awards:
  • Freshman winner: Serenity Morris
  • Sophomore winner: Julius Johnson
  • Junior winner: Elsa Thackston

Why This Matters

Winning isn’t just about looking good at halftime. The titles go to students who have shown real involvement, strong spirit, and positive leadership on campus. These are people who stood out not just in the game-day crowd, but in student orgs, campus events, and day-to-day life at UWG.

What Homecoming Looks Like Here

Picture this: a week of events–from service and volunteering to music, giveaways, the big tailgate on the Hill, and the Wolf Walk into the game. Then at the football game, halftime arrives and the crowd sees their new King and Queen crowned. It’s one of those moments where the campus comes together and the vibe is strong.

Carry the Momentum

To Jalen and Sydney: congrats and enjoy the moment. To Serenity, Julius, and Elsa: well done. Each of you now holds a title and represents your class. To the entire student body: Let’s keep this momentum going. Whether in your organizations, in class, or on campus events, the same enthusiasm that drove Homecoming isn’t bound to one week.
And to anyone who wasn’t deeply involved yet: consider this your invitation. Next year might be your time.
