UWG Homecoming 2025

If you’ve been feeling the buzz around campus lately, it’s because UWG Homecoming 2025 is almost here and trust me, this year is going to be one for the books! The theme is “West Georgia 500,” so expect a whole lot of high-energy fun, some friendly competition, and plenty of school spirit.

Mark Your Calendars: Oct. 17 – Oct. 25

Homecoming week kicks off on Friday, October 17, and let me tell you, there’s something happening every single day. A Day Fundraising launches on campus — it’s a perfect way to give back and get involved. But, the Racing to Serve service day will really hit home, as we get out there and help out our Carrollton community. It’s always cool to start the week by making a difference.

Wednesday, Oct. 23, brings something I’m really excited about: Aux Cord Wars! It’s a live DJ battle where YOU get to pick the playlist. Honestly, I can’t think of a better way to vibe with your friends.

Then, don’t sleep on “Wear Red, Get Fed” on Friday — just show up in your red gear (easy) and you might score some free food. Can’t say no to that! And later that evening, Maple Street Mayhem will bring the NPHC step show to life in the Coliseum — expect tons of energy and pride!

Saturday: Game Day

The big day: Saturday, Oct. 25. Tailgates and the Wolf Walk get going at 10 a.m. — but the real fun starts when the stadium gates open at 12:30 p.m., and we all make our way to our seats for the 2:00 p.m. kickoff against Central Arkansas. The best part? Homecoming Royalty gets crowned at halftime — so be sure to stick around for that moment, it’s always so electric!

And let’s not forget the tailgate under the Big White Tent. It’s a full vibe with food, games, music, and just a ton of fun before the game. Make sure you swing by to get in the spirit.

Alumni & Community Events

It’s not just for us current students! There’s a whole lineup of alumni and community events to make sure everyone feels included. On Friday, Oct. 24, there’s a Local Ties Brewing event in downtown Carrollton from 6–8 p.m. — alumni, coaches, and students all hanging out. It’s definitely the perfect place to meet new people (and maybe score some career advice).

On Sunday, Oct. 26, we wrap things up with a brunch + paint party combo — if you’re into painting (or just brunch), this is where you want to be!

Tips for a Smooth Homecoming Week

  • Get there early for the tailgate to grab a good spot for the Wolf Walk
  • Wear red — it’s not just a color, it’s a statement!
  • Bring your phone to snap pics of all the iconic moments
  • Pace yourself — with so much going on, you’re going to want to save some energy

Homecoming 2025 is shaping up to be epic — whether you’re a freshman, grad, or someone just looking to vibe with us, this week is a great way to bond with classmates, meet alumni, and just soak in the school spirit. Can’t wait to see you out there!
