If there’s one thing we can all agree on—wings are serious business. So here at WOLFRadio, we took it upon ourselves to find the best local wings in Carrollton. We hit up three local spots: WingCiti, Hotwings, and G Town to see who really brings the heat… and the flavor.
Let’s break it down:
🍗 Size — Winner: G Town
First impressions matter, and when we opened up the boxes, G Town’s wings stood out right away. Big, bold, and ready to devour. Hotwings came in with a solid performance, but WingCiti’s wings were noticeably smaller and left us wanting more.
🌶️ Flavor — Winner: G Town
Once again, G Town takes the top spot. Their wings had a perfect balance of spice and flavor. WingCiti came in a bit dry, and Hotwings—while definitely spicy—didn’t quite hit the flavor mark. If you want heat and taste, G Town delivers.
🔥 Heat — Winner: Hotwings
If you’re all about that burn, Hotwings is the place for you. True to their name, they bring the fire. The heat might overpower the flavor at times, but if spice is your love language, Hotwings understands you.
🧈 Crispiness — Winner: WingCiti
WingCiti wins in the crispiness category. Their wings had that satisfying crunch—though some of us thought they may have gone a little too far, sacrificing flavor and sauce in the process.
🗺️ Distance — Winner: G Town
Let’s be real: when hunger hits between classes, convenience matters. G Town is walking distance from campus, making it the go-to spot when time (and gas) is limited. Hotwings is about a 7-minute drive, while WingCiti is a full 18 minutes away—worth it only if they were serving championship-level wings… which they’re not.
💸 Price — Tie: G Town & Hotwings
Price matters, especially on a student budget. G Town gives you 10 wings for $11, and Hotwings is right behind at $10. WingCiti offers 10 wings for slightly under $10, but considering size and flavor, the better value lies with G Town and Hotwings.
🏆 Overall Winner: G Town
Between the convenience, size, flavor, and value, G Town takes the crown for the Best Local Wings in Carrollton. It hits the sweet spot (or should we say spicy spot?) on all fronts.
